Peg + Cat are back for another adventure! These adorably fun books about a young girl and her talking cat (spoiler alert) are based on the children’s book The Chicken Problem, which was published in 2012 by Billy Aronson and Jennifer Oxley. Since then, the series has become an Emmy Award-winning animated TV series. We were really excited to help Candlewick spread the word about the most recent book in the series, Peg + Cat: The Eid al-Adha Adventure!
Held to the likes of “Brad Thor and the late, great Vince Flynn” (The Providence Journal), author Matthew Betley has created a name for himself in the world of covert thrillers. A former Marine for 10 years, his experiences in deployments to Djibouti after 9/11, and Fallujah, Iraq, laid the groundwork for his series, The Logan West Thrillers. For the newest in the series, Field of Valor, Simon and Schuster came to us for help in promoting the book trailer. We were super excited to be a part of this, especially because we love running video campaigns!
If you’re deciding whether or not to read An American Marriage by Tayari Jones, just ask Oprah. In addition to being chosen as a Book Club 2018 pick by the Queen reader herself, An American Marriage is a New York Times Instant Bestseller and holds rave reviews from widespread publications including People, The Atlantic and Nylon. Not to mention Oprah is planning on turning it into a movie! When we first got our hands on Tayari Jones’s debut, we knew (like Oprah) that it was something special, so we were beyond excited when Algonquin asked for help in keeping the excitement alive for this book!
This year, the Pritzker Military Museum & Library in Chicago partnered with the United States World War One Centennial Commission to pay tribute to the Americans who served in WWI and the allies they fought beside. Together, they created Lest We Forget: The Great War. Through memorable art, posters, photographs and more, the book tells the complex story of WWI, and is an incredible remembrance of who served in the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and what would become the Air Force. We are honored to help get this book out into the world. The campaigns were so successful in helping to move the needle on sales that we’re currently gearing up for a third consecutive run!
Alexander Chee is a well known name in the literary world . He’s the best-selling author of the novels The Queen of the Night and Edinburgh, and, as a novelist, has been described as “masterful” by Roxane Gay, “incendiary” by The New York Times, and “brilliant” by The Washington Post. Pretty solid resume! So, when HMH came to us for help in promoting his first collection of nonfiction, How to Write an Autobiographical Novel, we were beyond thrilled to help get the word out.
With a title like Hot and Badgered, we knew this was going to be a fun campaign. Then we watched the book trailer, and we REALLY knew this was going to be a whole lot of fun! Hot and Badgered is part of a hot and quirky new series by Shelly Laurenston, the NY Times bestselling author of many paranormal romance titles, including Wolf with Benefits, Bear Meets Girl, and the Magnus Pack series. We’ve helped promote some of these titles in the past, but this was the first time we’d be promoting one of her book trailers!
When it comes to vacation reading, I always think of my best friend Kristina who intensely searched a Miami Walgreens at 9pm for the hottest romance books. She was on the hunt for a whole bunch of steamy novels to devour over our 4 day vacation. I’m pretty sure she bought around 5 books, so I’d say the trip was a total success. The Bastard Billionaire series by Jessica Lemmon became her obsession. She still talks about it.
Here’s what Nicola Yoon, #1 New York Times bestselling author of Everything, Everything, has to say about Adam Silvera’s History is All You Left Me: “This book will make you cry, think, and then cry some more.”
Hmm…a YA book that will make you cry and cry? SIGN. ME. UP. I’m a huge fan of tearing up with a good YA read, especially those that take me back to my extreme emotions of my teenage years. So when Soho Teen came to us looking to target this emotional teen read from Silvera, I was excited to meet with the team to plan an awesome campaign.
Meet Marley Dias. She might only be 13 years old, but her resume is already pretty impressive – including being an inspiring author, public speaker, activist, and one of Forbes’ “30 under 30”. It seems like there is nothing this powerhouse girl cannot do – and we were beyond thrilled to be a part of promoting her new book published by Scholastic, Marley Dias Gets It Done: And So Can You!
One of the coolest things about AdBiblio (IMHO) is our targeting expertise mixed with our advanced tech to narrow in on the best possible niche audience. Which is why we loved that Timber Press came to us for help in promoting, Our Native Bees: North America’s Endangered Pollinators and the Fight to Save Them. We were determined to get this compelling story in front of potential readers dying to “bee” entertained and educated!
