K is for Knight. <strong>P is for Pterodactyl.<\/strong> <strong>WHY?!<\/strong> Our alphabet has a tendency to be completely bizarre. I was always a pretty decent speller (<em>I mean, I won my 2nd grade spelling bee. Not to brag or anything.<\/em>), but even these words would have me completely baffled. Luckily, a rapper and a computer programmer are here to help. Raj Halder (aka Lushlife) and Chris Carpenter have created the super adorable and hilarious kids&#8217; book <em><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"P is for Pterodactyl (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/books.sourcebooks.com\/pisforpterodactyl\/\" target=\"_blank\">P is for Pterodactyl<\/a><\/em>. It&#8217;s currently a <em>New York Times<\/em> Best Seller and an Amazon Best Book of the Month. The story behind the creation of the book is also fun and interesting, and you can read all about it here in this <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"his recent NY Times article!  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2019\/01\/25\/books\/review\/p-pterodactyl-raj-haldar-chris-carpenter-best-seller.html\" target=\"_blank\">NY Times article! <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Screen-Shot-2019-03-25-at-10.55.37-AM-700x644.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2476\" width=\"488\" height=\"447\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In addition to parents of young children and book reading kids, we targeted other potential buyers such as Grandparents, Early Childhood Educators, and Librarians. On top of this, we layered in traits like mommy blog readers, children\u2019s book buyers, children\u2019s learning tools and educational products buyers, parenting content readers, and those with a strong interest in children\u2019s television and movies! Our keywords also took a leading role in reaching that ideal audience, serving the ad to those with an interest in comp authors like Jane O\u2019 Conner and Eric Carle, and on sites with phrases such as &#8220;<em>best picture books for kids, children\u2019s picture books, alphabet books,\u201d<\/em> and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"700\" height=\"443\" src=\"http:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Screen-Shot-2019-03-25-at-11.03.59-AM-700x443.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Screen-Shot-2019-03-25-at-11.03.59-AM-700x443.png 700w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Screen-Shot-2019-03-25-at-11.03.59-AM-240x152.png 240w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Screen-Shot-2019-03-25-at-11.03.59-AM-768x486.png 768w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Screen-Shot-2019-03-25-at-11.03.59-AM.png 982w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The campaign included a mix of classic banners and the AdBiblio Native Ad, which one of our awesome designers created! (<em>shout out to Vega!<\/em>) The ads resonated best with parents of toddlers (.24%), Kindergarten through Second Grade teachers (.20%), and most of all &#8211; families with children age 4-7 (.53%!). Children\u2019s books are one of our specialties, and we typically have a strong rotation of titles running \u2013 so it was no surprise at all that our AdBiblio read-alikes held some traction as well, at a .12% CTR.
