I\u2019ve watch them all: <em>Broadchurch, Luther, Sherlock<\/em>, and even dabbled in <em>Midsomer Murders <\/em>(google it.) So, I was thrilled when Soho Press came to us for help in spreading the word about British mystery and thriller novelist Mick Herron. The second novel in the series, <em>Dead Lions<\/em>, won the 2013 <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/thecwa.co.uk\/dead-lions\" target=\"_blank\">Gold Dagger award <\/a>(<em>fun fact: this award is given annually by the Crime Writers&#8217; Association of the United Kingdom since 1960 for the best crime novel of the year!<\/em>) <em>Joe Country<\/em> is the sixth novel in the<em> <\/em>series, and continues to follow the misfit group of MI5 agents who will do anything to get back into the game. On top of this, we added in traits and behaviors including bestselling book buyers, <em>NPR<\/em> listeners, news and current events readers, and avid readers of <em>The New York Times, New Yorker, The Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal<\/em> (bonus: the ad ran on all of these sites!). Keywords also played a big role in this campaign, helping us serve the ad alongside content featuring terms and phrases like <em>international spy novels, detective stories, British suspense novels<\/em>, and reach those interested in authors like John le Carr\u00e9 , Philip Kerr, Len Deighton, and Daniel Silva.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-3.05.03-PM-700x441.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2652\" width=\"446\" height=\"280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-3.05.03-PM-700x441.png 700w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-3.05.03-PM-240x151.png 240w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-3.05.03-PM-768x484.png 768w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Screen-Shot-2019-07-22-at-3.05.03-PM.png 980w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><br>The campaign finished at a strong .19% CTR, and the ads ran on sites including <em>The New York Times, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Huffington Post, New Yorker, The Washington Post, Rolling Stone<\/em>, and <em>BBC<\/em>!
