This past August, they reached out to us for help in promoting several fiction and memoir titles for their <strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Summer 2020 with Algonquin Books (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/s3.amazonaws.com\/algonquin.site.features\/summerreading\/index.html#\" target=\"_blank\">Summer 2020 with Algonquin Books<\/a> <\/strong>campaign \u2013 and we were so happy to help make this happen! In a two part series, I\u2019ll be highlighting how we reached niche avid readers over two campaigns to promote so many of their wonderful titles (<em>we love giving multiple books some love!<\/em>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/August-3-book-ad-for-AdBiblio-1-700x366.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3001\" width=\"446\" height=\"233\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/August-3-book-ad-for-AdBiblio-1-700x366.png 700w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/August-3-book-ad-for-AdBiblio-1-240x125.png 240w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/August-3-book-ad-for-AdBiblio-1-768x401.png 768w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/August-3-book-ad-for-AdBiblio-1.png 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 446px) 100vw, 446px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>For the first August campaign, Algonquin focused on fiction enthusiasts, featuring three powerhouse novels that are all impossible to put down. <em>Heiroglyphics<\/em> by Jill McCorkle is a \u2018mesmerizing novel about the burden of secrets carried across generations\u2019. <em>With or Without You<\/em> by Caroline Leavitt is an incredibly moving novel, which<em> People<\/em> calls \u201can irresistible portrait of midlife ennui and the magic of breaking free.\u201d And finally \u2013 <em>Impersonation <\/em>by Heidi Pitlor was an August read that \u2018tells a timely, insightful, and bitingly funny story of ambition, motherhood, and class.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-23-at-10.47.29-AM-700x450.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3000\" width=\"549\" height=\"352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-23-at-10.47.29-AM-700x450.png 700w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-23-at-10.47.29-AM-240x154.png 240w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-23-at-10.47.29-AM-768x494.png 768w, https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-23-at-10.47.29-AM.png 924w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 549px) 100vw, 549px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Avid fiction readers and book buyers were the base of our targeting, and top traits included bestselling fiction buyers, literary fiction readers, books and literature enthusiasts, novel readers, book club members, and NPR listeners. Comp authors included popular fiction writers like Bryn Greenwood, Celeste Ng, Anne Tyler, Kristin Hannah, Claire Messud, and Chloe Benjamin, as well as relevant keywords like <em>summer reading, summer reads, best books for summer, book club guide, fiction bestsellers<\/em>, and <em>book club picks<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/adbiblio.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/Screen-Shot-2020-09-23-at-10.47.51-AM-700x448.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2999\" width=\"587\" height=\"374\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>The campaign included our popular native ad, which was perfect for featuring each of three book covers with a headline of &#8220;3 Must Reads for August!&#8221; The ads finished overall at a .25% CTR, and did particularly well with bestselling book buyers (0.37% CTR), literary fiction fanatics (0.32% CTR), and avid fiction readers and book buyers (0.31% CTR)! The ads ran on top-tier sites like <em>People, E! Weekly, Real Simple, Book Club Chat, Buzzfeed, Oprah Mag, USA today, Today, Bustle<\/em>, and <em>NY Times<\/em>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking for your next great fiction read?
