With its fierce disabled heroine and powerful themes around climate change and survival, Climate of Chaos is the kind of YA story that stays with you long after you finish. We loved teaming up with Peachtree Teen to connect this one-of-a-kind novel with YA readers, book influencers, climate activists, and more!

Perfect for fans of The Last of Us and Divergent, Climate of Chaos by Cassandra Newbould is a dystopian YA set in storm-ravaged Seattle, where healthcare is currency and survival comes at a cost. After losing her parents and mobility, Fox LaRosa joins a rebel crew fighting back against the powerful Aegis Corp—but when her sister is taken, she’ll risk everything to get her back. It’s emotional and full of heart, and I love that it’s a fierce disabled heroine leading the charge. School Library Journal (starred reviews) says it’s “A must-have for teen libraries and lovers of dystopian fiction.”

The campaign included our mix of banner ads, and focused on reaching YA readers and book buyers, as well as Gen Z and Millennial fantasy and fiction readers and book buyers. We also included traits like readers with a strong interest in climate change, climate change activists, readers who support disability charities and causes, YA book influencers and more. Comps included authors like Kim Liggett, Suzanne Collins, Joan He, Veronica Roth, James Dashner, and Marie Lu, and keywords included phrases like YA cli-fi, climate fiction, young adult climate fiction, books with disabled heroines, #ownvoices, and high school reading guide.
